Oscar award-winning composer A R Rahman believes that music creation is a spiritual process for him and it is very important to connect with his conscience and nature to make music. Music director Rahman (53) said, "In art you are inspired by high ideas, high motivations and high objects in life. If you take something from nature, a universal spirit or consciousness, your work has greatness. We are always compelled to draw inspiration from small things, but I think my work is mostly inspired by the 'infinite nature'." Rahman, who has named several prestigious awards including Oscar and Grammy, said in an interview on "Zoom" to PTI, "I try to keep myself away from the chaos around us." Rahman also said that he respected the various eyes of the people in the film industry. Because the shared goal of all of them is to make people happy.
Musician Rahman started his career with Maniratnam's film 'Rosa' in 1992. He then gave memorable music in films like 'Bombay', 'Rangeela', 'Race', 'Dil Se', 'Tal', 'Lagaan', 'Saathiya', 'Swadesh', 'Yuva', 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Rockstar'. Rahman said that he always wanted to create music that allows people of all age, sex, caste and class to feel connected. Rahman's life journey from an ordinary boy to becoming the world's popular musician will be shown in the third episode of the second edition of National Geographic's Mega Icons. It starts on Sunday.
Rahman said that he had already received a number of proposals to make movies or programmes based on his life, which he had been rejected, but in terms of quality he liked the proposal of National Geographic and he has made a yes to it.
