About 271 citizens of the United Kingdom (UK) stranded in India due to Coronavirus lockdown were sent back to their country on Saturday. A special British Airways flight from Sri Guru Ram Das Ji International Airport in Amritsar departed amidst the coronavirus lockdown.

For your information, let us tell you that the British citizens were stranded here for a long time amid the lockdown. The UK government, along with the Indian government, has started a special flight to rescue the stranded people. UK citizens are happy with their government, which has taken an initiative to evacuate its stranded citizens.

Apart from this, while talking to the media before taking the flight, Shingara Singh of UK National said that, 'I came here on 24 January. We had to stay here after the lockdown was implemented. We would like to thank the Indian citizens for the help. Compared to other countries, India is doing really well in the midst of Corona crisis.
