Ayodhya Airport Set to Serve Over 1 Million Passengers: In its initial phase, Ayodhya Airport is poised to accommodate more than 1 million passengers annually, with projections indicating a substantial increase to 6 million commuters annually in the subsequent phase. The Phase 1 project, costing over Rs 1,450 crore, has resulted in the development of a cutting-edge airport to meet the growing demand.

The terminal building at Maharishi Valmiki International Airport spans an impressive 6,500 sq m, designed to efficiently handle the significant influx of passengers. Notably, the facade of the terminal reflects the architectural style of the forthcoming Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

On a recent Wednesday, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) assumed responsibility for the security of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya. Simultaneously, the Uttar Pradesh government has implemented a comprehensive plan that incorporates advanced security measures and traffic management strategies.

As part of this initiative, the Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS) has been seamlessly integrated with 1,500 public CCTV cameras throughout the city, ensuring vigilant surveillance. Additionally, Ayodhya's yellow zone will be equipped with 10,715 AI-based cameras featuring face recognition technology, all seamlessly integrated with ITMS and monitored from a central control room. The concerted efforts aim to enhance security and streamline traffic management in and around the expanded Ayodhya Airport.
