NEW DELHI: The Premier airline in India, SpiceJet, on Tuesday announced the launching of 26 new domestic routes. Starting on July 22, 2022, the airline will launch new and additional flights, connecting Nashik with Hyderabad and Delhi with Khajuraho, respectively, as part of the UDAN Scheme.

The airline would also increase frequency between Ahmedabad-Jaipur, Delhi-Hyderabad, Delhi-Dharamshala, and Amritsar-Ahmedabad in addition to introducing direct flights from Delhi, Hyderabad to Jammu, Mumbai to Guwahati, Jharsuguda, and Madurai, Varanasi to Ahmedabad, and Kolkata to Jabalpur.

Commenting on the development, SpiceJet's chief commercial officer, Shilpa Bhatia, said: "We are happy to announce the introduction of 26 additional flights across several sectors. We will be able to maintain our position as the nation's most popular airline for travellers thanks to the introduction of these new flights on crucial routes. Our dedication to connecting the country's disconnected regions and meeting the expanding passenger demand nationwide is demonstrated by our new UDAN flights. The new and additional flights have been thoughtfully added with the convenience of the passengers in mind and provide them with a variety of travel options.

There will be daily service on flights from Hyderabad, Delhi, Jammu (one-stop), Mumbai, Varanasi, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata to Jabalpur. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, there will be flights from Mumbai to Jharsuguda; on all other days, save Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, there will be flights from Mumbai to Madurai. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday will see flights between Delhi and Hyderabad. There will be a daily additional frequency between Ahmedabad and Jaipur.

On these routes, the airline's Boeing 737 and Q400 aircraft will be used. Bookings can now be made through their website, the SpiceJet mobile app, online travel agencies, and other travel-related websites. The airline is also proud to have flown for a record-breaking 58 straight months with a Passenger Load Factor (PLF) of above 90%.
