India gets another weapon to fight against corona, Sputnik-V option available on co-win App

New Delhi: The war against the corona epidemic continues in India. Vaccination work is underway amid the havoc of the second wave. So far only two vaccines were being used in India, which were desi. But now the foreign vaccine has entered. Sputnik-V developed by Russia is now available in India as well and bookings for the same have started.

The first consignment of Sputnik V arrived in Hyderabad from Russia on May 1, the second consignment arrived in India on May 14. Now, from this week onwards, the use of Sputnik-V has started at identified locations. Even now it has been opened to the common people. The Covin portal designed for vaccination is now showing the option of Sputnik-V on the website. That is, now if you book a slot for vaccination on the Covin app, it will also show the sputnik-V option.  

Sputnik-V made by Russia is being provided by Dr. Reddy Labs in India. The vaccine that has just arrived has been brought from Russia, so there are limited doses right now. These vaccines are being made available in private hospitals. Where its one dose costs Rs 995.
