As per the latest report, Veteran Actress Sridevi’s body is yet to be released by Dubai Police’s forensic department. The publication had earlier reported that the veteran actor's autopsy had been completed and the family was awaiting laboratory reports conducted by the General Department of Forensic Evidence. Meanwhile, Bollywood celebrities veteran actress Rekha, Rani Mukerji, Shabana Azmi and Swara Bhasker among others visited Anil Kapoor's residence to meet Sridevi's daughters Khushi and Jhanvi and offer their condolences to the family.

Veteran actress Sridevi passed away at 54 years in Dubai late on 24 February, plunging the entire country into a curtain of gloom as her fans and admirers expressed shock and disbelief. The actress voiceless her last at around 11 pm following cardiac arrest. "Boney Kapoor, Jhanvi, Khushi and the entire Kapoor, Ayyappan and Marwah family is deeply bereaved and shocked with the untimely loss of Sridevi Kapoor," the statement, issued this evening by the Yash Raj Films (YRF) on behalf of the family, said.

The Padma Shri awarded actress Sridevi made a comeback to Bollywood in 2012 with much acclaimed "English Vinglish" after a long break of one and half decades. On the Silver Screen Sridevi was last seen in "Mom" in 2017. She along with her family was rushed to the nearby Rashid Hospital but pronounced dead on admission. Veteran actress Sridevi was in Dubai to attend the marriage function of actress Sonam Kapoor's cousin Mohit Marwah, along with husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi. The funeral is likely to take place on 26 February, although there is no word from the family on this so far.
