Srinagar: The effect of strictness on terrorism and separatism in Jammu and Kashmir is now visible. The fear of terrorists has ended among the people. The biggest example of this is the reopening of Shital Nath Temple in Srinagar to devotees. Due to the fear of terrorism, the temple has been closed for 31 years, but it was opened to devotees on the day of Basant Panchami on Tuesday, amid the changed situation in the valley.

The local Hindu population is very happy with the opening of the doors of the temple. After such a long time, when the temple opened, special worship was organized there. According to media reports, Santosh Razdan, who came to worship at the temple, said that a lot of support and support has been received from the local Muslim community for the reopening of this shrine. He said, 'Shital Nath Temple is open after 31 years. People used to come here for worship and darshan, but after the terrorism increased, the temple was closed. Hindu families living around the temple also migrated from here.'

Ravinder Razdan, one of those who organized the puja in the temple, said that the people of the Muslim community helped us a lot to open the temple. He even cleaned the temple. Razdan said, 'Our Muslim brothers and sisters brought with us the materials of worship. We used to worship this every year. The birth anniversary of Baba Shital Nath Bhairo falls on Basant Panchami, hence this day is celebrated with reverence and enthusiasm.'
