Today is the 101st death anniversary of mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. He died on April 26, 1920. Ramanujan came from a very poor family. They did not even have the money to pursue their hobbies. It is famous that Ramanujan could have made a math question in more than 100 ways. It is this specialty that has given him the status of a maths guru in the world.

Srinivasa Ramanujan's childhood was not like that of other children. He was born on December 22, 1887. By the age of 3, he could not speak, which made his parents worried that Ramanujan was not dumb. He was rich in extraordinary talent. His talent has never been the charm of age. Ramanujan's life lasted only 33 years.

I didn't think I was studying: Ramanujan's early studies started in Tamil. Initially, his mind was never on the side of studies.  But went on to finish first in the primary examination in the entire district. This is where mathematics began when he went to higher secondary school for the first time for further studies.

A hobby of asking questions: Let us tell you that Ramanujan was fond of asking questions since childhood. And they sometimes asked questions that baffled the minds of teachers. But he was very curious to know any questions.  He says he also asked his teachers, 'Who was the first person in the world? What is the distance between the sky and the earth? How deep and how big is the sea?

Top in Mathematics, failures in other subjects: Ramanujan studied so much in mathematics that he could not pay even the slighter attention to other subjects.  As a result, he once topped mathematics in the 11th examination while he could not pass all other subjects. A few years of Ramanujan's life went through a lot of struggle after he lost his relationship with his studies.
