Staff Selection Commission has announced recruitment to Group B and Group C posts through SSC CGL 2019-20. This edition is for recruiting candidates who applied for the exam in 2019 during the month of October. All candidates who have the application status as "Accepted" shall receive the SSC CGL Tier 1 Admit Card. The authorities will be expected to release the admit card on the official website today. All candidates appearing from any region or who have applied for the exam through a regional website of SSC must keep a check on the official website of that particular region. SSC CGL Admit Card 2020 Download Link will be activated for all regions separately by the authorities. The download window is kept open for each candidate until the exam date allocated to them.

The most important document to carry to the exam center for any stage of the examination (All tiers) is the Admit card. SSC CGL 2019-20 is scheduled for March 02-11, 2020 for Tier 1. The exam date and exam venue allocated to any candidate is mentioned on the admit card. For any discrepancies in the admit card, the candidates must approach the concerned authorities in time so that their candidature is not canceled or to avoid problems during the examination. All candidates must make sure they have a stable internet connection, registration number/ID, and password/date of birth ready before they download the SSC CGL 2020 Admit Card. Make sure you carry a printed copy of the admit card and also, a photo ID proof (both original and photocopy) to the allotted exam center on the reporting time.

The Tier 1 CGL Exam is an online mode exam with 100 questions to be solved in 1 hour. The questions are objective type in nature; hence, it must be accurate to get a 1 mark in the exam. Negative marking prevails in Tier 1 examination. There are 4 sections in the exam with an equal number of questions distributed in each section. Candidates must note that for a successful first attempt in SSC CGL 2020, all candidates must understand how to manage time in the exam. The basic trick to manage time and attempt the maximum number of questions is to follow previous year papers and practice mock tests online.

There is no sectional timing in the exam which is why one must focus on attempting the exam from strongest to the weakest sections. A preferred sequence to attempt various sections in the exam is English -> GK/ General Awareness -> Reasoning -> Quantitative Aptitude For all candidates willing to apply for the exam or have missed filling the applications last year can wait for the new session of the exam 2020-21. The online applications for the new session shall be invited by the commission in the month of September 2020.
