Until his death in 2018, the legendary comic book writer Stan Lee had a cameo in almost every single movie based on the characters he created. Known for creating iconic characters like 'Spider-Man' and 'X-Men', Stan has also worked on other Marvel characters like Avengers for decades. So his cameo in marvel cinematic universe movies was always appreciated. A report has recently revealed that last year's 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' could have also paid tribute to Stan Lee as a lookalike. However, it seems that the makers finally decided against it.

Earlier this week, Marvel Studios shared the script for its 2021 release 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' online, while MCU Movie has rarely taken this step, which sees itself as a contender for the award, has often released its own script. Eagle-eyed fans have paid tribute to Stan Lee there. In one of the last scenes of the movie after Doctor Strange's magic removed Peter Parker's memory from everyone's mind, Peter goes to a cafe to re-introduce his girlfriend MJ and best friend Ned. The original script shows that MJ had to talk to a person who looked like Stan Lee in the scene.

The script reads, "He stops outside the doughnut shop. Now with the Holiday Decoration. Christmas Lights. He enters... INT. Donut Shop – The Continuous (Day) finds Peter MJ talking and laughing with an old customer, a Stan Lee look-alike."
