Hydration is an important part of losing weight. Enough hydration gives your body the capability to flush out the toxins and improve your digestion. But did you have any idea that just by making a little change in the temperature of the water you can make it 10 times better for your weight loss? We guess not.

A study has found that drinking cold water can actually speed up weight loss. The study tested 24 people, out of which 12 drank 500 ml of cold water while the other 12 drank water at room temperature.  The results were that both the groups burned two-three per cent more calories in next 90 minutes.

However, the group of people who drank cold water increased their body's resting expenditure (calories burnt while you are at rest). The number of calories burned by the body also increased because the body had to heat up the water for digesting it. Having enough water stops you from bingeing. Many people confuse their thirst with hunger and thus overeat. Drinking a tall glass of water, next time you feel hungry after you have had your food may stop you from overeating.

Drinking a glass of warm water right after you get up in the morning can increase your metabolism and thus help you lose more weight. We all know higher the metabolism, the more calories your burn.
