West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting the closure of all flights in West Bengal due to Coronavirus. On Sunday, three more positive cases of corona were reported on Sunday. The number of corona positive patients in the state has increased to 7. The infection was also confirmed in the parents of a 22-year-old Corona-infected young man who had recently returned to Kolkata from London and his housemaid. Two cases of corona in Bengal were also confirmed on Saturday. After three more cases came out in a single day, the state health department has raised concerns. Two other persons who were found corona infected in Bengal also returned here from abroad. The third case is also to return from abroad.

The 22-year-old resident of Ballygunge area of the metropolis, who came in contact with his parents and maid, has confirmed the infection and returned to Kolkata on 13 March. He was admitted to Beliaghat ID Hospital when he saw symptoms of the corona. The infection from her corona was confirmed in her sample examination. The infection was also confirmed in his friends in Chandigarh and Chhattisgarh. According to officials, 11 members of his family, including domestic helpers and drivers, were then sent to the quarantine center. Four people have been admitted to Beliaghata ID Hospital on Saturday after their condition deteriorated. All the blood samples were sent for testing in Nice, where on Sunday, the infection was confirmed by three of them in her parents and maids. All three were admitted to the special isolation ward, where treatment is underway.

The health department officials said that this young man had disregarded the advice of medical examination, as was done by the first corona patient of the state a few days ago. He said that the officials of Kolkata airport had advised the young man to be kept separately at home, but he did not accept it. Officials say that this is the first time someone has been infected due to coming in contact with a person who has come from abroad. Concern has increased further.
