The central government has said that states should ensure strict adherence to the guidelines regarding home isolation. To prevent the spread of infection, it is important to follow these guidelines at the ground level. After negligence in some cases, the states were instructed in this regard on Friday. The official statement said that the Health Ministry had issued new guidelines on May 10 regarding home isolation, which are still effective.

In its statement, the government has said that under this, corona patients with mild symptoms can remain in home isolation. For this, the patient should have a room with a toilet, where there is someone to take care for them. Also, the patient agrees that he/she will keep an eye on his/her health and will keep the authorities informed about the situation. An important provision in this is also that the doctor who is examining for home isolation is required to be satisfied with the patient's condition and his/her living arrangement.

Under which the patient has to give an affidavit to follow the rules of self-isolation and home quarantine. There should also be regular monitoring by a team of doctors in all cases of home isolation. The statement said that due to non-compliance of instructions in some states, there is an increased risk of spreading the infection to the patient's family members and people in the neighbourhood. In this regard, the Health Ministry has also written a letter to the states to ensure strict compliance of the instructions.
