Out of the five Rajya Sabha seats in West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has announced its candidates on four of them on Sunday. Arpita Ghosh, Mossim Noor, Dinesh Trivedi, and Subrata Bakshi have been named candidates, although Prashant Kishore is not named in it. Meanwhile, Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee said, "I have always strived for women empowerment. With this we are proud that half of the names we have given are of women."
