This is a big relief for troubled electricians after the provident fund was caught in the Dewan Housing Finance Limited Company (DHFL) recently. The government has taken a guarantee of PF payment. The solution has also come out after CM Yogi Adityanath took charge of the matter. Where the government has issued a related order late last Saturday. Where, if the money of PF stuck in DHFL is not available and the Power Corporation is not able to pay, then the government will ensure the payment of electricity workers by giving it interest-free loan.

According to the same information, electricity workers were agitated after the provident fund was stuck in DHFL at Rs 2268 crore. He was apprehensive that if the company could not refund the money, then how will the Power Corporation, which is facing a loss of thousands of crores, pay? There was a demand of the employees that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself intervene in this matter and the government should guarantee payment. Last day Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with Energy Minister Shrikant Sharma and competent officials and discussed all options. On Saturday, in the day, the Minister of Energy held talks with the concerned power workers' organizations.

It is believed that the Chief Energy Secretary Arvind Kumar has assured that if the money is not received back from the DHFL under the legal process, the power corporation of the government will pay the PF money of the employees. If there is a shortage of money with the power corporation, then the government will be given a loan from the trust, so that the employees' money can be returned.

Yogi Adityanath took over as the solution: It has been learned that the PF scam in Power Corporation came out in the first week of November, but the path to its solution was found on Thursday last, when Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself took command. On Thursday, 21 November 2019, where there was a long discussion with the Energy Minister and top officials and directed to find a solution. The CM gave a message to the employees not to get upset. Within 48 hours of this meeting, a decision has been taken regarding the trapped amount of PF funds.

Five arrested, including former MD so far: According to information received from sources, the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) investigating the PF scam, not only registered an FIR against five people, including the former SD AP Mishra, the first accused in the case. AP Mishra, former MD of Power Corporation, then Director (Finance) Sudhanshu Dwivedi and then Secretary (Trust) Pravin Kuma Five including Su Gupta and his son Abhinav Gupta were arrested and sent to jail. On the other hand, the Electricity Corporation has tried to get back the funds of provident fund stuck in DHFL by requesting help from RBI (RBI) along with Mumbai High Court.
