Guwahati: After the alliance ended with the Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, rebellion has started rising in another Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ruled state. This state is none other than Assam, where the BJP's ally, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), has given a statement against the Citizenship Amendment Bill of the central government. AGP leader Prafulla Kumar Mahanta has said in his statement that he will oppose the BJP government's bill.

Mahanta, while addressing a press conference held in Guwahati, said that if the Citizenship Bill is implemented, the rights of the natives of this place would be violated. Because the illegal people coming from outside will be given citizenship here, after which they will also have the right over the resources of the state. Prafulla further said that if the BJP brings this bill, then its party will oppose it.

Let us tell you that AGP is also included in the ruling BJP alliance of the state. He has three ministers. Last time, when the BJP-led government of the Center was about to bring this bill in Rajya Sabha, three AGP ministers resigned. But with the end of the term of the Lok Sabha, this bill could not be converted into law. The AGP minister later returned to work. But this time the discussion of the introduction of this bill in the winter session of Parliament has started again.
