Shares of Adani Green Energy gains over  2 percent trading in NSE after the company reported finical results on Wednesday. The stock is quoting at Rs.1087.85 per unit as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1046.55.  In comparisons, the NSE Nifty stood at 14,688 up by 70 points, while the Sensex touched at 48,833.57 up 152 points during the morning session at around 9.50 am

Adani Green Energy Limited on Wednesday posted a nearly 86 percent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 104 crore for the quarter ended March 2021, mainly due to higher revenues. The consolidated net profit of the company stood at Rs 56 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, the company said in the stock exchange filing.

The total income of the company rose to Rs 1,082 crore in the quarter from Rs 719 crore in the year-ago period. For 2020-21, the company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 182 crore, as against a loss of Rs 68 crore in 2019-20. Total income of the firm in 2020-21 also rose to Rs 3,520 crore from Rs 2,629 crore earlier.
