China's capital Beijing accused the US on Saturday of “bullying” after Washington announced export controls on many Chinese firms over alleged ties with China’s army. In the announcement, it has mentioned, 'during the final weeks of President Trump's term, it comes after relations between Washington and Beijing soured under his administration. In which, US start a trade war with China and expand its list of sanctioned entities to a few hundred Chinese companies and subsidiaries.'

The Commerce Ministry of China said on Saturday that it firmly opposes US' move, because it will affect the country’s biggest chipmaker, SMIC, and vowed to take important measures to protect Chinese companies’ rights. The same ministry accused the US of bullying and abusing export controls to suppress foreign entities and it also urges Washington to stop its bullying.

Commerce Secretary of United States Wilbur Ross on Friday said that the designations that restrict US companies’ capabilities to do business with the firms are over an array of charges including human rights abuses and the activities of the Chinese military.
