David Harbour who plays the role of Chief Hopper in the Mystery drama series Stranger Things did not initially believe that the hit show will even get a second season. During an appearance on BBC's The One Show, via The A. V. Club, the 47-year-old actor said that while he was filming the first season he did not think the show would be considered for a second season.

David Harbour reminisced that during the filming of Stranger Things Season 1when they were down in Atlanta Netflix had given them  "a budget of about USD 20.” The star also further added that while they were filming Episode 4 of the first season, his hair stylist came up to him and confined, "I don't think it's gonna work." The series had initially gotten a low budget, and with the hair stylist's lack of confidence, David too thought that the series will be a total flop.

David Harbour recalled, "By the time we finished, we wrapped, I thought we wouldn't get a second season, we'd be the first Netflix show kind of ever to never get a second season. We thought no one would watch it, it was going to be a disaster."

However, unlike David’s fear the series received love globally and captured the hearts of million making it one of the most watched Netflix series of all time. The series went on to get five seasons, with volume 5 marking its conclusion.
