Student Devraj, who was injured in a stabbing incident in Udaipur, died tragically during treatment on Monday. Devraj's last rites were performed on Tuesday amid tight security. The police made tight security arrangements to prevent any untoward incident in the city. Policemen were deployed at intersections and rooftops and the procession taken out from Devraj's house to the crematorium was monitored by drones.

Mewar has always been united, but such incidents lead to instability in the society. He has demanded a serious investigation into this matter and strict action against the culprits.
Family refused to accept the body
On Monday, Devraj's family refused to accept the body. They were protesting for punishment of the culprits and other demands. Later, the administration agreed to give financial assistance of Rs 51 lakh to the family of the deceased, a contractual job to a family member and register a case under the ST-SC Act. After this, talks were held between Mochi Samaj's national president Jayanti Bhai, family members, people of the society and the police administration, in which it was decided to perform Devraj's last rites at 7 am on Tuesday. The body was handed over to the family at 5:30 am.
Internet shut down in the city and schools and colleges also closed
To maintain peace, the district administration had ordered to shut down internet services in the city till 10 pm on Tuesday. Along with this, it was also decided to keep all schools and colleges closed on Tuesday, although the examinations were conducted as per the pre-scheduled time.
Devraj was attacked with a knife
by a student of his class last week. He was seriously injured in this attack and was admitted to a hospital in Udaipur, where he died during treatment. Devraj's sisters tied a Rakhi to him in the hospital, which is a touching aspect of this tragic incident. A large number of people attended Devraj's last rites and demanded justice for his family.
