Punit Malhotra's upcoming directorial, Student Of The Year 2 has created immense anticipation among the audience. The college drama which has been produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions features Tiger Shroff as the male lead alongside debutants Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria. The makers have released three dance numbers — The Jawaani Song, Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiyaan and The Hook Up Song. Now, the team is offering the audience such a treat. Fakira, sung by Sanam Puri and Neeti Mohan, is the first romantic ditty from the Tiger Shroff-Ananya Panday-Tara Sutaria-starrer.

Featuring Tiger and Ananya, this love ballad is titled, Fakira and it has been shot across 32 locations between Mussoorie and Rishikesh. The song has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar and sung by  Neeti Mohan and Sanam Puri, and choreographed by Adil Sheikh. Director Punit Malhotra says he was looking for a soulful track that would instantly connect with people, especially the youth and Fakira fit the bill. 

Talking about the track in an interview with Times Of India, the film's director Punit said that  "Student Of The Year had Ishqwala Love, which was a romantic ballad. We have come up with Fakira, which I am very proud of. It’s my most precious number.

SOTY 2 is the sequel to Karan Johar's 2012 movie, Student Of The Year which marked Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra's Bollywood debut. It will hit the screens on May 10.
