Indore: A student of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM-I) in Indore has been offered an annual salary of Rs 49 lakh for a job in India amid corona infection on economies around the world. This is the largest offer of the annual salary package due to the last placement of this session in IIM-I, which is 18% higher than the previous highest offer. This was stated by an officer of IIM-I on Sunday. Last year, due to the last placement session of IIM-I students, the highest annual package of Rs 41.5 lakh was offered for jobs in India, the official said.
The official said that last year, due to the last placement session of IIM-Indore students, the highest annual package of Rs 41.5 lakh was offered for jobs in India. He said that more than 180 domestic and foreign companies involved as employers in the last placement offered salaries of a record Rs 25.01 lakh on an average basis to a total of 572 students from IIM- Indore and this number is six per cent higher than the average salary package of Rs 23.6 lakh last year.
The IIM - Indore Director Prof. Himanshu Rai explained, "This amazing placement this year is the result of our efforts and hard work. IIM - Indore is committed to remaining a relevant business school with world-class academic standards." According to official information, a total of 572 students from the two-year Post-Graduate Programme (PGP) and five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) from IIM- Indore managed to get job offers in the last placement.
