Chennai: Tamil Nadu cabinet has taken a very good and important decision in the interest of students studying in the government schools of the state on Tuesday. Recently the cabinet has also stamped that provision. Under that provision, reservation of 7.5% has been given to the students studying in government higher secondary schools of the state while taking admission in undergraduate medical courses.

This is very big news which has come out recently. According to the information received, the provision of this quota has been made under the existing reservation only. In this regard, sources related to this matter say that this system of 'quota within quota' will also be applicable to the government seats of private colleges. This provision will be applicable to the successful candidates of the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET). Earlier the Tamil Nadu government had also demanded to provide relief from Neet for students coming from rural areas keeping in mind the interests of students.

After knowing this demand, the DMK and other opposition parties left no stone unturned in criticizing it. Apart from this, in the cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister K.K. Palaniswami, a decision has been taken to approve the proposals of 6 companies at the same time. It is being told that these companies have issued a proposal to invest about Rs 5,000 crore in Tamil Nadu.
