Female sexual function is very important for woman's sexual health and overall well-being. New research examines the relation between female sexual functioning and changes in relationship status over time.

The female sexual functioning is influenced by many factors, from a woman's mental well-being to age, time, and the relationship quality.

 Studies have shown that sexual dysfunction is common among women. The study found that women who had stayed in the same monogamous relationship over the entire 7-year observation period experienced the greatest decrease in sexual desire.

Many factors could cause a women to have a low sex drive. Factors such as stress, kids, fatigue, hormonal changes and many other factors.

According to the researchers, relationship-specific factors or partner-specific factors that have no connection with the duration of the relationship do have an impact on women's sexual functions.
