Celebrity Fashion Stylist Pyu Mishra, who is known for creating the fun luxury casual ensemble for the popular young talent of B-town, Shantanu Maheshwari, says she could not have asked for a better career choice than styling as it gives her creative wings.
In a candid conversation, Pyu shares the Myth, Best and Challenging part of being a stylist.

- What’s the Myth you would like to break about your job?
I would want to break it to a lot of stylists coming to the industry that it isn’t a glamorous job. It’s not chilling with the stars, yes that comes as a complimentary, but there is a lot of hardwork that goes behind the scene
- What’s the best part of your job?
I would say the space and creative freedom that my job gives would be my no. 1
- what’s the most challenging part of your job?
I don’t think it’s challenging in a wrong way. Maybe the part where we push the envelope really hard in terms of fashion and constantly doing something new and creative . But isn’t that the actual fun !
- One timeless fashion staple for Men.
For me it has to be a “White Shirt” and “Denim” as a combination. It’s classy, timeless, chic, sexy, all at the same time, you can never go wrong with it.
White is my favourite colour too , just saying !
- How is it working with Shantanu Maheshwari?
I have to say it’s really fun. I love our creative collaboration where he isn’t just at the receiving client end , He is very much involved in the process, ready to push the boundaries.
Also, he gives me the liberty to experiment. So for me , couldn’t have asked for more from a client .
- We know Pyu : the Stylist for Celebrities. What is Pyu’s Personal Style?
I’m pretty much a mix of casual Athleisure girl next door with a taste of Luxury pret.
I like pairing up a casual piece of clothing with an aspirational luxury item in terms of styling. And tie up the whole look with sneakers, something gold in the neck and a watch is a must for me.
- Anyone who you wish to style one day?
I have a list. But for the headers, I would love to style Johnny Depp, according to me, he is the sexiest man alive. ZenDaya is also someone whose style I’m crushing over. I would definitely want to work with these two.
