Spanish league La Liga club Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has named Jordan Henderson, captain of the Liverpool team that won the historic title of English Premier League (EPL), as the best captain in the history of the club. Suarez has congratulated his former club Liverpool for winning the EPL title after 30 years. Liverpool clinched the English Premier League title after Chelsea beat Manchester City 2–1 on Thursday night. Popularly known as The Reds, Liverpool has managed to end its title drought after 30 years.

Suarez said on Liverpool's website, "It's a pleasure to talk with you and Liverpool fans. I'm very excited because I've played there for a few years and I have a lot of friends there." The 33-year-old Suarez said, "I was very happy for him when I saw him win the Champions League last year. Why? Because as some people know he had some problems with his dad. He really has I had some good moments and some bad moments. "

Suarez said, "His dream came true when he won the trophy. But this season I would love to see him win the Premier League trophy because he is a really good person. I have talked to him many times and I told him "You have a better chance this season and are very excited." He said, "To me, Jordan is one of the best captains in Liverpool history." Henderson and his teammates have won the Champions League, UEAFA Super Cup, FIFA World Cup and Premier League titles during the past 12 months.
