New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran leader and Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy has targeted his own government over rising petrol prices. He has told that in India, Ram is getting petrol at a higher price than Sita's Nepal and Ravana's Lanka. Let us know that on Monday, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced a cess of Rs 2.5 per liter on petrol and four rupees on diesel in his budget speech.

BJP leader Swamy shared a photo on Tuesday. In which it is written that 'Ram's country petrol price is Rs 93, in Sita's Nepal Rs 53 and Ravana's Lanka it cost Rs 51.' In the past three days, there has been no revision in the prices of petrol and diesel. The prices of petrol and diesel change at six o'clock in the morning. After this, the new rates come into effect from six o'clock in the morning. After adding excise duty, dealer commission, and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles. Petrol and diesel prices change every day, depending on what the crude prices are in the international market along with foreign exchange rates.

You can also know the price of petrol and diesel through SMS. According to the website of IndianOil, you have to write RSP and your city code and send it to number 9224992249. The code for each city is different, which you will get from the IOCL website.
