On Tuesday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reached the magic mark of 114 as per latest Karnataka assembly polls result 2018. The saffron party has sent its state in-charge Prakash Javadekar to Karnataka to oversee government formation. The BJP leader is likely to hold a parliamentary board meeting in the evening.

In more heartbreak for the Congress, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is trailing in Chamundeshwari in hometown Mysuru against GT Deve Gowda of JD(S). And as trends show the party leading, BJP workers celebrate outside the party office in Bengaluru as trends show the party leading.

According to the states, BJP fielded 223 candidates, while the Cong and the Janata Dal (Secular) fielded 222 and 201 candidates respectively. While out of the 224 seats, 36 reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs) and 15 of them are for Scheduled Tribes (STs).
