Noida: Even after the increasing demand for electric vehicles, their problems are not stopping. Raising important questions about the safety of electric vehicles, there are many cases of fire in EVs. On Thursday, a video of another electric two-wheeler catching fire surfaced. It is being claimed that the incident took place around Sector 78 or 79 of Noida. The fire brigade reached the spot but by then EV had come under fire.

The electric two-wheeler was being used by a delivery boy and suddenly caught fire while riding. After the fire broke out, the rider had to jump out of the moving vehicle to save his life. The video shows an EV burning in the fire and watching people standing far away. It is being told that the fire brigade also reached the spot but the EV fire had destroyed the electric two-wheeler by then.

Unlike the US and other major countries, the EV revolution in India is being driven by electric CVs and two-wheelers. Electric two-wheelers form a major part of India's EV market and despite being projected as the future of mobility and more viable, economic and environmentally friendly alternatives, recurring instances of electric two-wheeler fires raise significant safety questions, including safety standards for these electric two-wheelers. Many people are afraid of these fire incidents and are retreating from buying EVs.
