Muzaffarpur: A big incident is coming to the fore from Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, where suddenly a person with a stick reached in front of Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai's convoy. The matter is of Saturday evening. Nityanand Rai was returning to Patna after attending a function in the West Champaran district. When his convoy was passing through the Deoria police station area, a person reached in front of the minister's car with a stick. This created a stir among the security personnel.

The security forces and district police personnel present in the Union Minister's convoy took immediate action and removed the person carrying sticks. He was taken into custody and interrogated. It is being said that he is a mentally deranged person. He had no intention of attacking the union minister. The IG of Muzaffarpur issued a statement saying that after removing the mentally challenged person, Minister Nityanand Rai's convoy was safely sent towards Patna.

It is being claimed in some media reports that Nityanand Rai's convoy was attacked with sticks. The vehicle has been damaged due to this. However, the police have denied this. According to the Muzaffarpur police, there was no damage to the convoy vehicle.
