Muzaffarpur: On Saturday, motorcycle-borne miscreants shot a builder-cum-contractor and his dump truck driver on NH 28 in the Harishankar area of Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The miscreants fired six rounds. The builder and the driver, who were going on a motorcycle, fell down after being hit by three bullets. Both have been admitted to the private hospital in Bairia.

The open firing on the highway created a stir. The criminals who came on the motorcycle fired six rounds. The builder and his driver were injured. Thereafter, the police informed the family members. Both have bullet wounds near the back, arm, and waist. Injured contractor Pintu Singh's uncle, Pawan Singh Baji Buzurg, is the president of PACS.

The incident took place when Pintu Singh and Krishna Kumar were going from Maniyari towards Markan by bike. Krishna was driving the motorcycle, and Pintu Singh was sitting behind. Three motorcycle-borne miscreants chased both of them from the toll square near Maniyari police station. After two kilometres, the miscreants opened fire and fled towards Sakra. Pintu Singh and his family members have said that there is no old enmity with anyone. It is not known who fired the bullet. The police are checking the CCTV. Maniyari SHO Hemant Kumar said that the condition of the injured person is better. The bullet was removed after the operation.
