Actress Sudha Chandran ihas worked in many TV shows and Bollywood films and her performance was appreciated by critics and audience. She was seen in Bollywood film Malamaal Weekly last and has done a great job. After that she is absent from the big screen. The actress opens up on not getting the work.
Talking about not getting film offers in her career, she told Hindustan Times, “I am clueless about it. I don’t know why I haven’t got any film offers post Malamaal Weekly (2006). In the film, I was the only woman among the allmale cast. The audiences appreciated my work and the film was a success, too. Many people think that I must have rejected offers, but the fact is I have not got a single offer from anyone in the industry. I often ask myself — why aren’t any producers or directors approaching me? Very often, I see characters in films which I feel I could have played. It is painful for me to not be able to do films when there is such a variety of films being made out there.”
On the workfront, Sudha is currently seen playing the antagonist on Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and was last seen on Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin. She also adds that all the TV shows she is busy with right now has got nothing to do with her not being offered any movies. She said that there are so many female actors who are doing TV and films simultaneously. It’s a myth that you can’t do TV and films together.
