In keeping with his pledge to viewers, Vivek Agnihotri has taped a talk with Sudhir Mishra. On Wednesday, he sent an update on his social media accounts.

Vivek Agnihotri and Sudhir Mishra, two filmmakers, got down to talk about their work, the status of the nation, and the reasons why individuals on opposing sides of the political spectrum cannot engage in polite discourse. They agreed to talk after Mishra recently tweeted that liberal moviegoers don't go to theaters to see movies that seem to support their ideas.

Filmmaker Agnihotri has courted the support of the right-wing with his documentaries The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files, in contrast to Mishra, who is thought of as a liberal. Additionally, he has publicly criticized those he labels "urban naxals." The directors spoke about the subjects they discussed in their talk in an interview with the Hindustan Times. We discussed his film and mine, how viewers responded to them, how I responded to them, the state of the business, and our future plans, according to Mishra. He said, "I believe [Agnihotri] has been saddened by the notion that everyone in the profession has rejected him. But in my opinion, there is more of a disagreement.

Vivek had invited Sudhir to his studio for a chat in response to Sudhir's tweets. Additionally, Vivek responded to a Twitter user who expressed concern that the discussion might devolve into personal attacks rather than the ideal debate between opposing ideologies. Why would somebody assault another person? It isn't a battle. I have great regard for Sudhir, who is my senior and a well-known director, Vivek wrote.

Sudhir had tweeted last Friday, “Liberals complain about Kashmir Files. Why? Vivek Agnihotri made a film and his audience came to theatres and saw it. But when we make films our audience who criticise Vivek sit on their arse and don’t come to the theatre. Sorry, I had to say it. #afwaah.”

Sudhir is currently awaiting the release of his new film Afwaah that features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles. Produced by Anubhav Sinha, the thriller is set for a theatrical release on May 5. Afwaah also stars Sharib Hashmi, Sumeet Vyas, Sumit Kaul, TJ Bhanu and Rockey Raina. On the other hand, Vivek is working on his next, The Vaccine War.
