On the death anniversary of Nagesh legadary actor Sugumar, who rose to popularity due to his role in director Balaji Sakthivel's highly acclaimed smash, 'Kadhal,' has paid glowing tributes to one of Tamil cinema's finest comedians. Sugumar paid tribute to the great actor on his Facebook page, recalling a chat he had with him while filming 'Vasool Raja M.B.B.S,' the Tamil version of the Hindi superhit 'Munnabhai M.B.B.S,' starring Kamal Haasan.

"I questioned Nagesh sir how he had managed to keep his body trim and thin for several years during the filming of 'Vasool Raja M.B.B.S.' 'That is simple,' Nagesh sir replied. I'd sit down (to eat) when I was hungry and get up when I wasn't. This appears pleasant when your heart begins to consider. "You must quit saying, 'Let's eat some more of this,'" the actor wrote in Tamil.

"His death anniversary is today. "Let us remember him and give him praise," he added. Nagesh, one of Tamil cinema's best comedians, has appeared in over 1,000 films, many of which have become classics. Nagesh was a terrific dancer as well as a master of comedy timing. Nagesh was dubbed the "Indian Jerry Lewis" and the "King of Comedy."
