New Delhi: The court has once again deferred the order to frame charges in the death of Sunanda Pushkar, wife of senior Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor. A Delhi court on Wednesday, hearing the Sunanda Pushkar case, adjourned the decision to frame charges against her husband Shashi Tharoor for 15 days. The court will now hear the matter on July 2.

Earlier on May 16, Special Judge Gitanjali Goel adjourned the hearing till June 16 to order the corona virus epidemic. The court reserved its verdict on April 12 after hearing the arguments of lawyers appearing for Delhi Police and Tharoor, after which the case has been adjourned several times. The court was requested by delhi police to frame charges against Shashi Tharoor under Section 306 (abetment to suicide) and other sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Shashi Tharoor's lawyer Vikas Pahwa had argued in court that his clients had been completely acquitted in the SIT probe. There is no justification for framing charges against them. Tell us that the court had completed arguments on the case on April 12. Pahwa had requested Tharoor to be acquitted saying there was no evidence of allegations made against his client under Section 498A (cruelty to a woman by a husband or a relative) or 306 (abetment to suicide).
