The popularity of Ramanand Sagar's famous show Ramayana is not hidden from anyone. 33 years ago, Ramayana was famous, today the craze of Ramayana remains intact in 2020. Ramayana achieved a bumper TRP when telecast in lockdown. Sunil Lahiri, who plays the role of Laxman in Ramayana, is sharing the things related to the show with fans these days. In his latest video, Sunil Lahiri has told about the popularity of Ramayana and the true feelings of the people about the show at that time.

Sunil told that Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana had achieved such popularity at that time that Umargaon had become a tourist place. Ramayan was shot in Umargam, Gujarat. Sunil says in the video- "In those days, 8-10 buses came to Umargaon, while there was a demand that they should be allowed to stay there. All arrangements should be made for their living, eating and drinking, and they have come to see the Ramayana. Sagar saheb's elder son was in charge of all these things."

After this, good arrangements were made for those people. They were served breakfast. Apart from this, after bathing, they came to see the shooting on the set. They came with such reverence as people go to worship in the temple." In the video, Sunil Lahiri said that this reverence and devotion of people towards Ramayana is amazing.
