Sunny Deol, who is remembered for his stellar performances in movies Ghayal, Border, and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, is the third person from his family to join politics and the BJP. The 62-year-old actor had met BJP president Amit Shah last week amid speculation that he may contest from Amritsar or Gurdaspur. Sunny Deol’s father, Dharmendra had also contested a Lok Sabha poll and won from Rajasthan’s Bikaner in 2004.
