“It’s important to apply sunscreen generously and reapply every two hours, or more frequently if you’re swimming or sweating,” advises Dr. Johnson. “Even on a cloudy day, UV rays can still cause damage, so it’s best to make sunscreen application a daily habit.”

While it’s tempting to only reach for sunscreen during the summer months, experts strongly recommend making sun protection a year-round habit. By incorporating sunscreen into your daily routine, rain or shine, you’ll protect your skin from harmful UV rays and reduce your risk of skin cancer and premature aging.
