The number of infected cases are rising significantly amid this, vaccination is the only weapon against the deadly virus. Several celebs have got themselves vaccinated, one of them is superstar Rajinikanth. The 70 year old Thalaivar, who is this year’s recipient of the Dada Saheb Phalke Award, trended all of Wednesday after returning to Chennai from Hyderabad where he was filming his new project Annaatthe.

Rajinikanth daughter Soundarya shared it to Twitter as she posted a picture of the senior actor getting himself vaccinated. In the picture, Rajinikanth was seen sitting comfortably on a couch in his home and accompanied by Soundarya. She has asked fans to stay safe and get vaccinated to fight this war against COVID. Captioning the picture, she wrote, “Our Thalaivar gets his vaccine Thumbs up Let us fight and win this war against Coronavirus together #ThalaivarVaccinated #TogetherWeCan #MaskOn #StayHomeStaySafe.” 

In the south cinema industry many celebs like Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal, Nagarjuna Akkineni, etc got themselves vaccinated. Megastar Mohanlal also shared the news, wrote, “Took the First Shot of Covid Vaccine from Amrita Hospital. I take this opportunity to thank the Government of India, the companies which are producing the vaccine & the medical fraternity, including all hospitals, for their relentless assistance and cooperation shown towards the COVID Vaccination Drive.”
