New Delhi: Baba Ramdev's plea against an FIR lodged in different parts of the country in the allopathy comment case was heard in the Supreme court on Wednesday. The court has sought an unedited video of Ramdev's interview. Ramdev in his petition had sought a stay on the FIR lodged in Bihar and Jharkhand following his alleged remarks on allopathy.

Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi on behalf of Ramdev said during the hearing that Swami Ramdev is a public figure. He respects doctors. His video that went viral was not correct. He said the full video will be produced in court soon. Mukul Rohatgi said that all the cases registered against Baba Ramdev across the country should be transferred to Delhi. The Supreme court will now hear Ramdev's application on Monday. On the other hand, the Supreme Court said that Ramdev should file an affidavit in the court regarding whatever statement he had issued. The next hearing in the case will now be held on Monday, July 5.

The Indian Medical Association had strongly objected to Baba Ramdev's statement on allopathy amid the corona epidemic. Doctors had protested at several places over Ramdev's statement against allopathy. A case was also registered in several states.
