New Delhi: On Wednesday SC said that harsh action must be taken against people who destroy nation’s properties in the name Of agitation.

Supreme Court said, “We cannot allow people to burn nation's properties and hold the country to ransom in the name of agitation,"

The apex court said- “it would frame code to punish people who destroy public properties. The bench also advised that people might have to pay for the destruction or loss of public properties”

The court was hearing a suit filed by Hardik Patel claiming agitation charges against him. In its previous hearing the court had suit expanded its boundary to find out the issue of damage to the nation’s people’s property amid last year’s Patel reservation agitation led by Hardik.
Justice JS Khehar(head of SC bench)said” "Whether it is political party like BJP, Congress or any people, they must realize that public properties can't be destroyed in agitation”
