New Delhi: Supreme Court on Monday has refused to dismiss the contempt case against renowned lawyer Prashant Bhusan. The trial of the 11-year-old trial against Prashant Bhushan for contempt of the apex court will continue in the Supreme Court.

However, during the hearing, the apex court has rejected the explanation given by Prashant Bhushan. It is noteworthy that in an interview given in 2009, Prashant Bhushan called the former Chief Justice of India (CJI) corrupt. In the last hearing, Prashant Bhushan regretted his statement in 2009 and said that I meant failure to perform duty, not economic corruption. Now the Supreme Court has fixed the date of August 17 for the next hearing in this case.

Earlier, the apex court had also refused to accept the reply and explanation given by Prashant Bhushan in the last hearing. Today, the apex court was going to give a verdict in the matter whether the contempt case will continue against Prashant Bhushan. In whose decision it is said to continue the action against Prashant Bhushan.
