New Delhi: The Supreme Court has asked the Central government to find a solution if roads are blocked due to the ongoing farmers' agitation against three agricultural laws. The court, while hearing a petition filed by a Noida resident on Monday (August 23rd), said, "You have to find a solution, farmers have the right to agitate, but in this way, roads between Noida and Delhi cannot be blocked.''

According to media reports, Judge SK Kaul gave the direction while hearing a petition filed by a Noida resident seeking relief from the blockade on roads due to farmers' protest. The Uttar Pradesh government has told the Supreme Court in the case that it is urging farmers to vacate the area for easy traffic. A bench headed by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul said farmers have the right to protest but roads cannot be blocked indefinitely. The court has, therefore, directed the Central Government and the concerned States to find a solution.

The court said, "You have to find a solution as the solution is in the hands of the Central Government and the concerned States.'' Petitioner Monika Agarwal said that public roads have not been followed even after various directions passed by the Supreme Court to keep them accessible to traffic. The petition said that the petitioner being a single mother has made it difficult for her to travel from Noida to Delhi.
