Farmers' Protest: No solution found in 8 round of talks, Supreme Court expresses concern

New Delhi: Negotiations between farmers and the government protesting against agricultural laws have remained fruitless till now. The Supreme Court has expressed concern on this. However, on behalf of the government, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta and Attorney General KK Venugopal said that we hope that the deadlock will be over soon.

Some lawyers have filed a PIL regarding the constitutional validity of the new agricultural laws. Hearing this, the apex court said that we will hear on Monday the application of farmer agitation and agricultural laws. Chief Justice of the apex court (CJI) SA Bobde said while commenting that we do not see any change in the situation. On this, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that we are talking. Attorney General KK Venugopal said that we hope that both sides will agree on any outcome. On this, CJI SA Bobde said that we are aware of the situation and want the talks to increase further. We are keeping a close watch on the situation.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that there is no need to hear in the case of Agriculture Law and Farmers Movement because the talks are going on between the two sides. On this, CJI SA Bobde said that we will look into the matter on Monday, if the talks are positive then we will defer the hearing.
