New Delhi: Justice Markandey Katju, a retired judge of the Supreme Court, has attacked many senior journalists through one of his tweets. He said that these journalists strongly condemn Hindu conservatism, but take silence on Muslim customs. Justice Katju tweeted on Saturday (August 8, 2020) that 'people like Siddharth, Arfa Khanam Sherwani, Barkha Dutt, and Rana Ayyub regularly criticize Hindu fundamentalism, but these people have never seen Burka, Sharia, did not condemn the madrasa and maulanas, who kept the Muslims backward. '

Justice Katju further wrote in his tweet, 'Mustafa Kamal Pasha had finished all this. The path to genuine secularism should be two-sided and not one-sided. ' Siddharth Varadarajan is the founder and editor of The Wire. Arfa Khanam Sherwani also works for The Wire and is a senior editor there. Barkha Dutt, who came under attack from a retired judge, is also a well-known journalist and Rana Ayub is a writer and senior journalist.

Mustafa Kamal Pasha, whose name was mentioned in the tweet by Katju, is considered a modern and secular leader of Turkey. He tried to bring a different country of Muslim customs to Europe while being President of Turkey. It was Mustafa Kamal Pasha who converted the Hagia Sophia from the mosque to the museum, which has now been rebuilt by the Rajab Tayyab Erdogan government.
