New Delhi: Yogi government's order has been challenged by filing a petition in the apex court. The Yogi government has ordered the identification and recovery of people who have damaged public properties during protests over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The petition filed by Parvez Arif said that the UP government's decision was not correct. It should be repealed.

The petition also demanded a judicial inquiry into violent incidents during protests. Let me tell you that in December last, there was a loss of about 4.55 crores rupees due to violence and arson in Lucknow against the CAA. A single committee of four ADMs assessed the loss of public and private properties and submitted the report to the DM. To compensate for the loss, 150 accused, who have been accused of a nuisance, arson, and uproar, have been issued notice and asked to respond. With this, the recovery process has been started to make up for the loss.
