New Delhi: The hearing on the petition challenging the custody of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has been adjourned. During the hearing of the case, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta submitted a report to the apex court, which has full details of those detained in Jammu and Kashmir. The Supreme Court has said that after seeing the report, it will hear the case on Thursday.

Omar Abdullah's sister Sara Abdullah Pilot has challenged the detention in the apex court under the Public Safety Act (PSA) and demanded his release. Sara Abdullah in her petition has filed a petition against the Jammu and Kashmir Security Act 1978 by the government. He has said in his petition that keeping Abdullah under house arrest is 'clearly illegal'. The things stated in the order of detention are not sufficient, which are necessary for such order. Sara has also requested to cancel the official PSA order of February 5.

In addition, Sara has accused the central government of taking away people's right to live. Pilot said that the administration had detained Omar to ensure that the protest against the repeal of Article 370 was suppressed. There is no question of any kind of threat from them to maintain peace.
