Huge blow to PMC Bank customers from Supreme Court, hearing denied

New Delhi: Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative Bank (PMC) bank account holders have suffered a major setback from the apex court. The Supreme Court has rejected the petition of the customers. The court has said that account holders can appeal to the High Court for this. The customers of PMC bank are struggling to get their own money back. Crores are stuck in the bank. Customers have been allowed to withdraw only 40 thousand rupees. A petition was filed in the Supreme Court against this ban imposed on withdrawal of money.

Going to the apex court of the PMC Bank case now raised the expectation of about 1.5 million account holders. Customers hoped that the apex court could grant relief on the withdrawal limit. The security of account holders was mentioned in the petition against the limit on withdrawal. In this petition, it was demanded that 100 per cent insurance cover be given to all customers. Apart from this, there was also a demand to abolish any limit on clearance.
