The Supreme Court reserved the verdict on the demand for a CBI inquiry under the supervision of a retired judge. Earlier, advocate Seema Kushwaha appeared in the country's largest court on behalf of the victim's family for hearing the Hathras gang rape and murder case. She said that there has been a demand from the family that the trial should be conducted in Delhi. She demanded that the trial be shifted from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi. On this, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta presented by the UP government said that he has no objection to this.
