New Delhi: While hearing a petition to stop the recovery of millions of rupees in private hospitals for the treatment of Corona patients, the apex court said that first go to the concerned High Court. On this, advocate Anand Grover on behalf of the petitioner said that the High Court should not be sent. During the hearing, Chief Justice (CJI) SA Bobde said that we will decide how the rule of justice should apply in this case.

He said that we can ask the Solicitor General to write to all the state governments to emulate the Gujarat model while fixing treatment charges under the Disaster Management Act. The apex court told the Solicitor General that we do not want the corona victims to be treated for free, but healthcare and treatment should be accessible to the people. You choose the best, accessible simple model. If a successful model is seen in a state, then the overall guideline can be prepared by including it.

Earlier, in view of the increasing number of corona infections, the Supreme Court had directed all the states to constitute a committee of doctors and experts to monitor the treatment of patients in the corona hospital. In addition, this committee will also give necessary instructions to hospitals from time to time.
